The way the Dolphins use motion creates so many issues for defenses. It generates free releases for their speedy receivers. It creates spacing and larger passing windows. It keeps the defense from being able to easily communicate and adjust before the snap. Overall, it makes defenses more predictable and reactive.

How C.J. Stroud and Bobby Slowik picked apart the Buccaneers
First down was when Houston had the most success through the air, and that hadn’t really been their MO through the first 8 weeks of the season. In fact, Houston ranked in the bottom-10 in the NFL with a 40% passing frequency on first down.
Against Tampa, that changed.

The Ravens defense kept the Seahawks guessing
The Ravens defense put on another stellar performance against a good offense in Week 9, this time holding the Seahawks to just 3 points and 151 total yards.

The Patriots lost 20-17 to the Commanders to fall to 2-7. They just aren’t a very good football team on either side of the ball right now. It doesn’t help that Mac Jones is the least physically talented starting quarterback in the NFL. While that doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t be an effective quarterback, it leaves little margin for error. With his level of talent, he needs to be an extremely precise passer to have success. He needs to make good decisions. He needs another skillset like great anticipation or processing to make up for his lack of physical ability.
