What Saleh, Hackett, and Wilson can learn from Simms and Parcells
“Don’t pay any attention to what they’re saying. Just go out there and play and don’t let that media affect you as far as trying to be a daring quarterback. You just go out there and let it go and I will support you 100% no matter what happens.”
That’s what Bill Parcells told Phil Simms during the 1986 season as Simms was getting booed relentlessly. This was at a time when the Giants had a championship-caliber defense and team, yet the passing game was struggling. Fans and the media shared the same general sentiment that Simms was holding the Giants back.

Justin Herbert was outstanding vs. the Vikings
Against the Vikings, Herbert completed 40 of 47 passes for 405 yards and 3 touchdowns. That included a line of 34-for-40, 317 yards, and 3 touchdowns against the blitz. He was sacked just once and did not turn the ball over.

Shanahan used motion and personnel distribution to help give Brock Purdy a clear view of the defense throughout the night… [Click here to read the rest]
13 thoughts from Sunday's week 3 games
The nerds are already out there trying to justify Brandon Staley’s decision to go for it on 4th-and-1 from his own 24 with the Chargers leading by 4, and a minute and 51 seconds left. It’s inexcusable and we’ve see this type of decision by Staley backfire before. He’s got a great young QB who’s lighting up defenses, but his defense and decision making continue to give away games. Luckily, the Chargers got out of this one alive… [Click here to read the rest]
