What we’re seeing from Patrick Mahomes is truly unprecedented.
His playoff resume is eye-opening: 14-3 W-L record; 6 AFC Championship Game appearances in 6 seasons as a starter; 4 Super Bowl appearances.
And he’s only 28-years old.
The two quarterbacks in history with comparable resumes are Tom Brady and Joe Montana (decent company). And yet, it took them until age 30 and 33 respectively to play in their 17th playoff game.
But the more impressive aspect of what Mahomes has accomplished has little to do with his age. His playoff performance to this point has been superior to both Montana and Brady’s. Just look at how their numbers compare through 17 playoff games:
