A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how Patrick Mahomes has been better than Joe Montana and Tom Brady through the first 17 postseason games of his career. After the Chiefs’ 25-22 overtime win in Super Bowl LVIII, that gap became slightly larger:
Not only are Mahomes’ passing numbers better than both, his abilities as a runner dwarf what Montana and Brady contributed on the ground. In fact, he has more rushing yards and touchdowns than Montana and Brady combined.
He also surpassed Brady with 3 Super Bowl MVPs in his first 4 appearances and now has a better postseason W-L record than both.
Needless to say, it’s been a pretty amazing start to Mahomes’ career. And he’s only 28-years old.
